Juventus chief Pavel Nedved has told president Andrea Agnelli to consider Louis van Gaal as next coach.
Van Gaal was sacked by Bayern Munich last week, but remains among the most highly regarded coaches in Europe.
Tuttosport says Nedved has spoken to Agnelli about the coaching situation and believes Van Gaal would be a better option going into the new stadium next season than Gigi del Neri.
Nedved has also urged Agnelli to explore the prospect of bringing back Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the club.
AC Milan have Ibra on-loan from Barcelona, but there are doubts emerging that they will take up the option to sign him permanently.
Juve can land the Swede for €24 million in June.
