Nasri insists Arsenal will win silverware next term

Samir Nasri is adamant Arsenal will win silverware next season.

The midfielder, 22, signed from Marseille in a £12.5million deal during the summer of 2008, has recovered form during the closing months of the campaign after having battled back from a broken leg suffered during pre-season in Austria.

Nasri said: "We have done better than last year as we were in the running for the title until the defeats at Tottenham and Wigan.

"We have made progress and shown more maturity in our play. I really hope we can go for the title next season because we have quality.

"We are getting there gradually and we can compete for the top prizes. Without the injuries, we would have done well."
