New Napoli striker Marcelo Zalayeta admits he had no chance of a future at Juventus.

"It was different at Juventus because there were always superstar strikers ahead of me," the 28-year-old lamented.

"Even when I scored against Barcelona in the Champions League quarter final in 2003 I just got a pat on the back and went back to sitting on the bench.

"I told the Juve directors that I was tired of being sent out on loan, then Napoli made an approach and they have shown belief in me."
