Napoli striker Dries Mertens was delighted with his goal in victory at Frosinone.

It was his 81st Serie A goal which saw him equal the goals tally for this club by Diego Armando Maradona.

“It's wonderful to match Maradona's tally, but the most important thing today was that we win the game," Mertens told DAZN.

“We played well against Atalanta and wasted a lot of chances, but it's good to have won."

He added: “I still have a year on my contract, I'm happy here and we'll see what the club wants."
