Napoli signing Dries Mertens is excited about his debut Serie A season.
The Belgian signed for Napoli from PSV Eindhoven last week.
"I was ready to leave Holland and Serie A is a big step for me," the 26-year-old stated. "I'm proud to be here.
"I hope to be important because I haven't come here to sit on the bench. I'm a player who can score and assist, even if I know I'll have to help out defensively too.
"Two seasons ago I scored 21 goals and collected 16 assists. Last season my score was 16 goals and 21 assists.
"The fans have already asked me to score against Juventus, evidently they don't like them "
