Inter Milan striker Julio Cruz has emerged as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis' big summer target.

De Laurentiis has promised fans a top drawer signing before the season kicks off and Argentina international Cruz is looming as a major target.

Cruz is well down the striker's pecking order at Inter and knows he will be guaranteed regular first team football in Naples. De Laurentiis is eager to make a big-name attacking signing, but will have to convince Cruz to take a pay-cut as his £1.5 million salary is well outside Napoli's wage structure.
