Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says Italian football should celebrate their Super Cup win over Juventus.

Napoli won the tie on penalties in a game staged in Doha, Qatar.

"Tonight Italian football won," De Laurentiis told Rai Sport after the game.

"Napoli-Juventus is a fixture which even since Serie B has provided great games. We got lucky on the penalties, let's say this was a rehearsal for what we'll see in the League.

"Still, winning the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa, we're not doing too badly.

"Congratulations are also due to Juve, our games against them are always spectacular."
