Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis admits he's keen to buy a new striker.
De Laurentiis has already ruled out moving for Bayern Munich forward Luca Toni.
But says: "In order to prepare for next season we need new champions like Hamsik and Gargano were when they arrived at Napoli, or Lavezzi who had already won the fans over at the San Paolo in his second game.
"Gilardino is not a name I'm thinking of, while Pazzini is a great player, but he is on everyone's lips and so his price is rising. I don't want to say that he is not worth the price at which he is being valued, but right now it's better to take a step back in front of such offers, especially in this climate of recession."
