Napoli have denied reports the club is seeking a new buyer.
Owner Aurelio de Laurentiis' visit to the US has sparked the speculation.
But Napoli said in a statement: "In relation to the feared existence of negotiations regarding the sale of all or part of SSC Napoli S.p.A. to American or Qatari business groups and looking for possible partners for the financing of a new stadium, please note that this information is completely without foundation.
"We therefore categorically deny the existence of any kind of negotiations concerning the sale of SSC Napoli S.p.A. as well as the search for investors hypothesised to be associated with the construction of a new facility to house football matches of the first team of Napoli."
