Napoli coach Calzona: Victory at Monza all about players' energy

Napoli coach Francesco Calzona says victory at Monza was all about the players' energy.

The Azzurri shook off their recent form lapse with a 4-2 win at Monza on Sunday.

Calzona said: "In football you have to run, if you always have the ball thrown at you it's not current football. Nowadays you have to run. The difference is this. We are condemned to watch from game to game.

"There's no point in making calculations, we have to win and play as we did in the second half. I

"At the end of the first half we talked and analyzed the errors to resolve them. There is no point in going towards each other to receive the ball at your feet, the key to the match is to always run and propose. Then with these players the personal play is clear. But without movement it becomes difficult.

"Finding spirit and motivation is essential. Then comes tactics and technique. But without motivation you don't get anywhere. I'm sorry because we conceded two goals on two occasions and this drives me crazy. All the goals were beautiful, but I would like to underline that of (Giacomo) Raspadori who believed in it and had a great mentality in attacking the area."

Of his own future, Calzona added: "I don't think about the future, a piece of life in Naples but I am aware of the contract I have. To date there has been no talk about the future."
