Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri says he couldn't have asked more from his players after their 3-2 defeat to Bayern Munich.
Napoli bravely fought back after a Mario Gomez hat-trick, but Federico Fernandez's brace wasn't enough as they fell 3-2 to Bayern Munich.
"I'm happy with our performance. We had a few moments of naivety and paid for them, as Bayern took all their chances and we didn't," said Mazzarri.
"Of course there is regret we had 10 men when the third goal arrived, as we didn't have time to complete Salvatore Aronica's substitution.
"We really did try everything and it was a great performance from my players. We are happy with what we did here and emerge with our heads held high against a phenomenal Bayern side, who for me are on a par with Barcelona.
"Our second half was perfect, as we forced such a strong team to defend even when we went down to 10 men. I don't know what more I could've asked for."
