Shunsuke Nakamura is determined to prove himself at Espanyol.

The former Celtic star has struggled since arriving in Spain last summer and has been linked with a return to Japan's J-League next month.

However, close friends say Nakamura is ready to 'tough it out' at Espanyol and isn't about to throw in the towel after a difficult first six months in the Primera.
