The agent of Shunsuke Nakamura has confirmed plans to leave Espanyol.
The Japan international has only managed 12 appearances for the Parakeets this term, with most of those coming off the bench, since joining the La Liga outfit on a free transfer last summer.
The player's agent Roberto Tsukuda confirmed he has been talking to several J-League clubs about a short-term loan move, but he has yet to receive a formal offer.
"With the World Cup approaching, the most important thing for Nakamura is to play regularly at Espanyol. Unfortunately, this is not happening," Tsukuda told the Japanese press.
"A number of clubs has shown interest including his former club Yokohama F Marinos, but at this stage, nothing is concrete.
"If he is not getting playing time, he will be moving on."
