Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba admits he needs to improve on last season's disappointing showing. "Last season was very up and down for me." the England U21 international told The Manchester Evening News.
"I'm sure people will point out that I have not hit the kind of form I showed in the opening game of the season.
"A lot of it is down to self-belief. I am very critical of myself but I am determined to learn from my first season here and come back fresher, stronger and better in pre-season."
"I have come through a lot in my life and all the things I have been through this season are just part of the game." he added.
"Criticism is part of it. You just have to take it on the chin and move on."
"So long as I stay true to myself and work hard, I am sure I can come back next year and give a better account of myself. I feel I owe everyone that.
"I want to come back stronger because I want to be a part of this team."
