Sunderland are still showing considerable interest in West Ham United's Diafra Sakho.
The Sun is reporting that Black Cats boss David Moyes wants the Senegalese striker at the Stadium of Light after departing Sam Allardyce made clear his intentions to bring in a new attacker this summer.
Sakho was signed by Allardyce at West Ham from Metz in the summer of 2014 but has fallen out of favour under Slaven Bilic and is expected to leave East London before the end of August.
Sunderland are worried about the fitness of Jermain Defoe ahead of the start of the 2016/17 season and are desperate to bring in a new forward in the coming weeks.
West Ham are believed to be prepared to sell 26-year-old Sakho but not before they bring in a replacement.
