Everton boss David Moyes met with Manchester United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson and Ryan Giggs yesterday.The Sun says Moyes had talks with Ferguson and Giggs yesterday in Alderley Edge - with Wayne Rooney's future in the balance after asking to quit the club for a second time.

Moyes, Fergie and Giggs were snapped leaving Alderley Edge Hotel.

They met at 10.30am and spent around 90 minutes in discussions.

One onlooker said: "It looked very cloak and dagger. When each of them emerged from the hotel, they had a look around like they were checking no one had seen them.

"This looked like three men on a mission."
