Boss David Moyes doubts Everton will be able to extend Landon Donovan's loan spell at Goodison Park. Donovan has been quick to make an impact in the Premier League since joining the Toffees in January from Los Angeles Galaxy.
His 10-week loan deal is due to expire in mid-March and the USA international has hinted that there may be a possibility of prolonging his time on Merseyside.
However, Moyes was pessimistic about his prospects of hanging on to Donovan.
"I don't think so," said the Everton manager. "We said it was always going to be the loan.
"He has just signed a new contract with the Galaxy so I don't think that will happen."
