Moyes backing Cahill to break Everton goal drought

Everton manager David Moyes expects Tim Cahill to soon break his 11-month Premier League goal drought.

The 31-year old has netted just three goals since December 20 last year and all have been for the Australian national team but Moyes believes he is close to netting his first for 2011 as he gets back to full fitness following a torrid time after the Asian Cup in January.

"It has been difficult for Tim," said Moyes.

"He has not really recovered correctly since he came back from the Asian Cup last season and he has found it quite tough since then.

"I have no doubt his goals will come - he will get his goals; he has got them every other year and I've no reason to think he won't.

Cahill will be looking to wet his barren run when 12th-placed Everton take on third-bottom Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.
