Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng suggests his move away from Manchester City was an important step in his career.
The 24-year old Germany international arrived at City from Hamburg in June 2010 but departed Eastlands a year later to join Bayern.
Boateng feels like he now belongs in Munich and stated that moving away from City helped him become the player he now is.
"I finally have fully arrived here [at Bayern Munich]," Boateng said.
"At this club, it is really not hard to feel comfortable. The move here [away from Manchester City] was an important step for me."
