Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho refuses to give up on Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric.
Modric risks being priced out of a dream move to Real by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, who is insisting on a cash price of £40 million.
Real's last offer was for £25 million plus £5 million in bonuses, which falls well short of Levy's valuation.
Marca says despite being offered the likes of Wesley Sneijder (Inter Milan) and Axel Witsel (Benfica), Mourinho has made it clear Modric is the signing he wants this summer.
