Mourinho satisfied as Inter Milan see off Lazio

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho was satisfied after their 1-0 win over Lazio.

Samuel Eto'o scored the only goal, as Inter defeat Lazio 1-0 and end 2009 with an eight-point lead.

"I couldn't be more satisfied with my players. They scored, controlled for the whole game and had chances to add more goals," Mourinho said.

"We were in control throughout and Lazio never really got a look-in. These are three very important points in a round when Juventus did not pick up any and Milan will have to visit Fiorentina. Right now Inter are in a strong position."

The leaders are nine points clear of Juve and eight ahead of Milan, although the Rossoneri have a game in hand as last night's trip to Florence was snowed off.

"Milan, Juventus and Roma can all still be in the Scudetto race. The Giallorossi made such a great comeback a few years ago and for half an hour were champions, so you can never count them out."
