Jose Mourinho has heaped praise on his Chelsea side following their 2-0 Champions League triumph over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
The Blues are through to the semi-finals of Europe's premier club competition after beating the French giants on away goals after a 3-3 aggregate.
Goals from substitutes Andre Schurrle and Demba Ba allowed the west London club to move through to the final four but it was the work of the midfield and defence that really impressed a proud Mourinho.
"They gave everything. Even in some difficult moments of the performance, they gave absolutely everything," he told Sky Sports.
"I promise you, to play against Lucas is not easy, to play against (Edinson) Cavani is not easy, to play against (Ezequiel) Lavezzi is not easy.
"My four defenders (Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, John Terry and Cesar Azpilicueta), as always, were brilliant but the midfield worked like animals and David Luiz (in midfield) was a monster.
"And the people in attack, some of them tried to create and they were the ones - when it was time to go for the physical game and to use your body - who were brave and Fernando (Torres) and Demba gave a big help to the team."
