Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is confident that midfielder Nemanja Matic will become a vital contributor in his squad.
The Serbian international has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Blues for a reported fee of £20.7million and Mourinho feels he will be a welcome addition for the remainder of the season and beyond.
"I am very pleased that Nemanja is returning to Chelsea," Mourinho told the club's official website of the former Benfica ace who had a spell at Stamford Bridge three years ago.
"He has grown as a player in Portugal and has become a fantastic all-round midfielder. I am sure he will become a very important member of the squad and help us to achieve our ambitions."
