Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has lashed out at referee Mike Jones, labelling the decision to send off star midfielder Cesc Fabregas as "bizarre".
During a break in play in Chelsea's surprise 3-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Monday night, Fabregas kicked the ball into a crowd of players, striking Baggies' midfielder Chirs Brunt on the head.
Jones had no hesitation in handing the Spaniard a straight red, leaving Mourinho aghast with the decision after the game.
"I would like to see it again because what is this for a sending off? Where is the danger of the situation?" said the Blues boss.
"It's a bizarre red card."
The incident means Fabregas will miss three matches in a ban that will extend into next season.
"Three games ban for this? Jesus Christ," Mourinho added.
"Harsh? Of course it's harsh, if you get three games with this."
