The mother of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has continued to open up on the alleged extortion attempt against her son.

Police are now investigating an alleged extortion attempt by childhood friends of' Pogba, which has also involved older brother Mathias.

Mother Yeo Moriba recalled to Le Parisien: "The day before, I received a message telling me that Boubacar, Mamadou and the two brothers Machikour and Roushdane were coming to my house.

"For me, Roushdane, he is the boss in this whole story! I warned Paul, and that's when he confessed to having been robbed a few months earlier. He hadn't said anything because he didn't want to worry me.

"Arriving at my house, the four claimed to have protected Paul for years. I answered them: Excuse me? But Paul never had a bodyguard! Mamadou complained that Paul accused him of stealing it.

"I cut it right away. 'So this is revenge?' I asked him. Mam's and Boub's, you were like my children. How could you do this?"
