The mother and agent of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot admits talks were held with Manchester United last week.

However, Veronique Rabiot says they never reached the point of discussing terms.

Veronique told Sportweek: "Did it all fall apart due to a question of money? All false. United wanted to meet me to illustrate their interest in Adrien, but we never talked about money in detail because he quickly decided to stay in Turin.

"There were never any real negotiations."

With Adrien's contract expiring in June, Veronique also said: "It's too early to talk about it. At the right time we will weigh everything and in the end Adrien will decide as always."
