Juventus GM Beppe Marotta says they're determined to keep hold of Alvaro Morata.
Morata scored in both legs of Juve's Champions League semifinal triumph over Real Madrid.
The striker joined Juve from Real last summer and the Merengues still have an option on the youngster.
Marotta said: "Unfortunately, we could not do the deal differently. Morata scored in both legs, so sank the club he came from. That's the joy of football.
"We'll enjoy him for the moment, but it's up to the player and he said many times he wants to remain with us.
"With that on our side, we'll try to overturn the buy-back option."
