Monza chairman Galliani talks Di Gregorio transfer rumours; calling 'madman' Paolo after son Daniel Maldini's goal

Monza chairman Adriano Galliani insists he's not fielded any offers for goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.

Di Gregorio's agent has cast doubt on a summer move to Inter Milan given the supposed price Monza are demanding. Juventus are also being linked.

But Galliani says: "I haven't spoken to any team.

"The player has a three-year contract, the agent is a good person and we're calm here too. I always think year by year, I was like that at Milan too.

"Life for me is from July 1st to June 30. I'm not talking about the transfer market now."

Meanwhile, on victory at Salernitana on Saturday, he said: "For me it is romantic that the two goals in Salerno were scored by two boys, one born in Milan (Daniel Maldini) and one in Monza (Matteo Pessina), one who grew up in the Milan youth sector and one in the Monza youth sector.

"The first phone call I made after the match was to Paolo Maldini and I told him 'finally a Maldini who scores goals and not a full-back like you who never scored'. He started laughing like a madman!"
