Bologna striker Marco Di Vaio has confirmed that MLS expansion franchise Montreal Impact are keen on his services.
The 35-year old Italian has been heavily linked with the Impact in recent weeks and today he told reporters in Italy that he had not yet signed with Canadian club but was seriously considering their offer.
Di Vaio also made it clear that he will not be remaining with Bologna past this season and will soon announce it officially suggesting he will head to Montreal this summer.
"The president tried to convince me to stay, but I have reached a decision.
"I wanted to talk to Bologna and publicly announce that I was leaving first.""I told [Bologna head coach Stefano] Pioli on Wednesday," Di Vaio said.
