Montreal Impact expected to break another attendance record

MLS expansion franchise Montreal Impact are expected to break their own attendance record this weekend.

The Impact host reigning champions LA Galaxy on Saturday and could have a crowd of 60,000 at Saputo Stadium, which would surpass the 58,912 they attracted to their home opener against Chicago Fire on March 17.

"The last time we had 60,000 was like the coming-out party of our team," Montreal coach Jesse Marsch told reporters.

"Now I think our team's moved along more, and it's a more accurate representation of who we are. I expect us to be sharp and ready to go."

The Impact sits fifth on the Eastern Conference table with a record of 3-2-5 whilst the Galaxy are struggling in seventh in the stronger West competition with a similar record of 3-1-5.
