MLS expansion franchise Montreal Impact are expected to break their own attendance record this weekend.
The Impact host reigning champions LA Galaxy on Saturday and could have a crowd of 60,000 at Saputo Stadium, which would surpass the 58,912 they attracted to their home opener against Chicago Fire on March 17.
"Now I think our team's moved along more, and it's a more accurate representation of who we are. I expect us to be sharp and ready to go.""The last time we had 60,000 was like the coming-out party of our team," Montreal coach Jesse Marsch told reporters.
The Impact sits fifth on the Eastern Conference table with a record of 3-2-5 whilst the Galaxy are struggling in seventh in the stronger West competition with a similar record of 3-1-5.
