West Ham have failed with a bid for Montpellier striker Gaetan Laborde.
The Guardian says the Hammers wanted to loan the 26-year-old Frenchman until the end of the 2020/21 season with a purchase option.
It is reported that the French club does not want to let the player go on loan and will accept only an offer for the price of £16 million.
In the 2020/21 season Laborde has made 20 appearances for Montpellier, scoring 6 goals and 6 assists.
