Montpellier's deal for Crystal Palace defender Mahamadou Sakho remains on track.

L'Equipe says Sakho should arrive in Montpellier between this weekend and Monday. A contractual agreement had been in place between the player and the club for several weeks.

Montpellier have been seeking to offload players to make room for Sakho and have now sent away Daniel Congré (to Dijon) and Hilton (retirement).

As such, management are now ready to bring in Sakho in the coming days. The veteran will join as a free agent.
