Monterrey striker Vincent Janssen feels he didn't receive a fair chance to prove himself at Tottenham.
The Dutchman during his first season made 27 appearances in the Premier League, including seven starts, and scored two goals before being shipped out on loan Fenerbahce the following year.
"It was not the period I was hoping for at Tottenham," Janssen told VTBL.
"As a 22-year-old boy from AZ it was a great step, but I didn't get the minutes that I expected. Also, I did not reach my potential.
"Ultimately you want to play again, be a footballer and be appreciated."
Janssen is now a star in Mexico, helping Monterrey win a first league title in nine years.
