Monterrey signing Vincent Janssen has no regrets joining Tottenham.
Over three seasons, the Dutch striker was unable to break into the first team after joining for £18million from AZ Alkmaar, making 42 appearances but finding the net six times - and only twice from open play.
He told De Telegraaf: "The Tottenham chapter did not go the way we all wanted, but I think I would make the same choice if I had another chance.
"If you play at AZ and there is such a large club that you want, then as a young boy you will be impressed.
"Apart from the lesser moments, I also learned a lot."
The 25-year-old also felt that his Tottenham career hinged on some early missed opportunities that could have changed things.
"In the beginning I missed opportunities that I sometimes think afterwards: 'if I had finished them, things could have turned out differently'.
"Anyway, I'm not going to blame myself for that sort of thing. I have always given one hundred percent."
