Former Chelsea and Feyenoord defender Ken Monkou is confident Vincent Janssen is Premier League class.

The Dutch striker has struggled for form at Tottenham since his summer arrival from AZ Alkmaar.

But Monkou told Ziggo Sport: "Of course Jansson can make it in the Premier League.

"He's physically strong, brimming with energy and has a fantastic left foot. And the most important thing is perhaps that his coach Mauricio Pochettino has expressed confidence in him."

He added: "You need six months if you are moving to the Premier League. Let us not forget that even Dennis Bergkamp after his switch from Internazionale to Arsenal had it difficult."
