Swansea City manager Garry Monk has emphasized the importance of a strong defence.
The Swans have enjoyed a fine campaign under Monk so far and have admirably managed to maintain a place in the top half of the Premier League table for the majority of the season by playing a very attractive style.
Apart from their free-flowing football, the Swans have been brilliant at the back as well - letting in only 38 goals so far and manager Monk has stated that his side strive to keep clean sheets.
The Swans boss said: "That's a motivation for the team, not just to win games and play good football, it's to be good defensively and get those clean sheets to get that recognition.
"It's a sign of a good team, if you can be good defensively and offensively you're doing something right. We probably should have had a few more to be honest with you. But it's a tough league in which to keep clean sheets.
"I spoke to the group at the start of the season. We all had our own discussions about what the group felt they wanted to improve on, the targets they wanted to set, and those clean sheets were one of them."
