Monk rues errors as Swansea fall to Tottenham

Swansea City boss Garry Monk was left to ponder what might have been as his side lost 3-2 to Tottenham on Wednesday.

The Swans equalised through Ki Sung-yueng in the 19th minute at White Hart Lane after Nacer Chadli had put Spurs ahead 12 minutes earlier.

The Welsh side were playing well until Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend struck with nine minutes of each other by the hour-mark which Monk felt cost his side at least a point prior to Gylfi Sigurdsson's 89th-minute volley.

"I'm disappointed with those two goals," he told Sky Sports.

"We were playing well at that point looking like we were going to create then two mistakes from us made it difficult.

"We pushed towards the end and could have scored a late equaliser but it wasn't to be."
