Monk reveals new team rules for Swansea success

Swansea City boss Garry Monk has revealed some of the new team rules he's introduced to avoid squad bust-ups.

These include banning mobile phones at lunchtime and forbidding agents from attending Thursday and Friday sessions.

Foreign signings are also required to learn English to ensure there is better communication.

Monk said: "The great thing about some of the new lads is I didn't even have to mention learning English, they beat me to it and asked to do it.

"There are other things, too. You can't have interpreters, agents and other people around your training ground on a Thursday and Friday.

"They are not allowed in there, it is private for first-team staff and players, you have to know who's going to be in here and who's not.

"Mobile phones at lunch are banned. The players eat lunch together, everyone trains at the same time and leaves at the same time. It's so they have that group mentality."
