AS Monaco will complete the signing of Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen today.

The Iceland international is moving to Monaco in an outright deal and will ink a two-year contract later today.

Monaco management were desperate to add to their strike-force and tribalfootball.com understands they also considered bidding for Celtic striker Scott McDonald before finding agreement with Gudjohnsen.
