AS Monaco are interested in Real Madrid No2 Zinedine Zidane.
L'Equipe says Zidane is viewed at Monaco as a replacement for coach Claudio Ranieri.
Monaco's owner, Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, has decided to pull the plug on Ranieri owing to the players' unhappiness with the Italian coach's methods.
He has also been disappointed with the return on a huge outlay last summer, with the millions spent on Falcao, James Rodríguez and João Moutinho proving enough only to secure second place behind PSG on the club's return to the French top flight.
