Monaco have been in Bosman talks with Valdes, though his knee injury has threatened the deal.

L'Equipe says ASM management remain keen on a deal for the Spain international, but want Valdes to pass a strict medical before going ahead with the agreement.

Valdes isn't expected to be fit until October.
