AS Monaco are keen to bring AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes back to France this month.

Il Giorno says Milan want to offload Mexes, whose contract is now regarded as extreme by the club's money-men.

Milan have been in contact with Monaco about a deal for Mexes and the initial response has been positive.
