AS Monaco coach Robert Moreno denies deliberately freezing Islam Slimani out of his team.
On-loan from Leicester City, Slimani isn't expected to sign permanently with ASM at the end of this season.
However, Moreno insisted on RMC: “I only 'separated' from him the first few games. When I arrived, after a week of work I thought that 4-3-3 was the best system for the first Cup match against Reims (2-1 victory on January 4), and then I selected the same team against PSG to have continuity.
"After that, Slimani was injured. But as soon as I had the opportunity to recover him, I used him. At no time did I want to destroy what was working. He played a lot of times with me. It's a question of system, of everyday life in training, of opponents too..."
