AS Monaco have passed on the prospect of signing Chelsea icon Ashley Cole.

Cole comes off contract at Chelsea this month and is yet to make a decision about playing on next season.

Monaco were keen, but their new coach Leonardo Jardim has turned down the chance to sign the veteran left-back.
