Molde attacker Jo Inge Berget says he is unsure of any interest from Newcastle United.
The 22-year old Norwegian has been linked with the Magpies but insists there has been no official interest, only speculation.
"I don't know any more than what is written on the internet," the former Udinese youngster told Romerikes Blad.
Berget's agent Jim Solbakken admitted he had been in touch with Newcastle regarding forwards but did not want to divulge whether or not it was this particular player.
"I have been in touch with Newcastle for many reasons, (including) regarding forwards. But I don't want to tell if we have discussed Jo Inge," he added.
