Molde coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed a bid from Southampton has been all but accepted for Vegard Forren.
The Norway defender is understood to be trialling with Liverpool this week.
But Solskjaer confirmed last night: "There has been many inquiries from several English clubs, but when Southampton submitted a bid, it was very interesting for both us and Vegard. We are more or less in agreement with the club, but nothing is one hundred percent confirmed.
"Molde is close to an agreement, then we will see if it is something that all three parties will be happy with."
On Liverpool, Solskjaer added: "We have had a good dialogue with Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who would like to talk to Vegard and see him for training. We agreed that he could go over to look at the situation. But Liverpool have not put a bid in."
