Mo Diame is leaving Newcastle United for Qatar.

The midfielder has agreed a lucrative two-year deal with Al-Gharafa in Qatar.

The ex-Newcastle midfielder has landed £100,000-a-week wages to play in the Middle East after a decade in English football.

Diame, 31, ran down his contract at St James' Park and Toon chiefs failed to match the terms and length of his deal.

Al-Gharafa are looking to bolster their midfield after finishing eighth in the Qatar Stars League last season.
