Major League Soccer will expands its 2011 season to 34 matches with the inclusion of two new teams.

Season 2011 will see Vancouver Whitecaps and Portland Timbers enter MLS meaning that the normal 30-game season will be pushed out to 34.

The season will kick off on March 19 with the regular season ending on October 22 and there will be no breaks for international competitions such as the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

The dates of the 2011 MLS Cup and the regular season schedule will be made at a later date.
