Argentine striker Maximiliano Urruti has labelled MLS as a 'beautiful' league.
The 22-year old arrived from Newell's Old Boys to join Toronto FC in August but was promptly traded to Portland Timbers in exchange for Bright Dike, a 2015 first round MLS Superdraft pick and an international roster spot for the remainder of the 2013 season.
After making his Timbers debut in their 1-0 home win over Colorado Rapids on the weekend, Urruti spoke highly of the competition in an interview on the club's official website.
"It is a league that is becoming very strong. Argentinians come here to compete because it is a good league and doing well which makes me happy," he said.
"I hope a lot more payers continue coming because this league is a beautiful league to play in."
And Urruti admitted it was a great thrill to now be playing alongside fellow Argentine Diego Valeri.
"It is a beautiful thing knowing that I share the roster with him," he added.
"He is a great person and every piece of advice that he gives me I take because I know that he is an important player with a great career. I always listen to him."
