James Milner wants new contract talks at Newcastle United.
The Evening Chronicle says Milner's agent the PFA's Mick Maguire has asked about a new contract for the former Leeds United player, who is entering his fifth season with United.
However, Milner still has another three years to run on his contract, which does not expire until 2011.
And as a result United do not feel obliged to look at his contractual situation for the time being, with negotiations over new deals for Michael Owen and Steve Harper a higher priority for the club's top brass.
